These rules are important to the site, but there aren't enough of each to have their own threads:
~Chakra Elements~
What is a Chakra Element/Element Release?
Element Releases are the natural elements Fire(Katon), Water(Suiton), Earth(Doton), Wind(Fuuton), and Lightning(Raiton), that the chakra that a Ninja is born with takes the shape of. Someone could be born with Katon-Release Chakra, while someone else could be born with Fuuton-Release Chakra. This plays a large role in a Ninja's career, as most Jutsu require a specific element to preform.
What is a Primary Chakra Element?
Your Shinobi/Kunoichi's Primary Chakra Element(Abbreviated P.C.E) is the Chakra Element your ninja was born with. A ninja can only be born with one element outside of Kekkeigenkai Releases, and they reflect what your ninja specializes in. For example, a Ninja born with the Raiton release should be skilled in a lot of Raiton release jutsu, usually outweighing other elements they may have picked up.
What is a Secondary Chakra Element?
Like the P.C.E, a S.C.E(or Secondary Chakra Element) are other release elements your ninja has learned or gotten in some fashion. Please note that there are no "gifted children" who are born with a secondary element outside of a clan, so please do not try and pass ninja like that, for they will not be accepted. However, Jonin and higher-ranking ninja may start with S.C.E.'s, for they have most likely learned it along their ninja paths. Anyway, a secondary element is another element your ninja has. They may learn techniques for that element, although they are probably better suited for their primary and usually don't have as many secondary element techniques as they do their primary.
What is Chakra Element Proficiency?
Chakra Element Proficiency(Abbreviated C.E.P.) revolves around your ninja's main element and how well/powerful your jutsu work. If you are a Katon user, then all of your Katon techniques would be stronger by default(not dramatically, but the difference is noticeable). This also gives you an EXP discount when you buy your Jutsu, which goes by this easy-to-read chart:
So, for example, if I am a Doton user and which to buy an A-Ranked Doton Technique, I get a 60 EXP discount on it. Believe it or not, these discounts are something you'll want when you excel on Naruto: United Bonds, as the more advanced a Jutsu is the higher it's price!
What is Chakra Element Weakness?
Now, pretty much everything said so far has been up-beat and happy. But it's time to talk about the darker side of element releases! Your Chakra Element Weakness, or C.E.W., is the element that trumps your element. It's easier to show you than to let you ponder the subject:
But if this didn't help you, or your still confused, here's an explination:
Of course, these are not the only weaknesses for each element. Obvious other weaknesses are things such as Lightning beats Water and Earth beats Fire. Be creative in your battles, but also, try and stay away from your weaknesses!
What is a Clan Kekkeigenkai Release?
Clan Kekkeigenkai Releases are special, because they involve other elements, which are usually combined or advanced forms of the preexisting ones. For example, Lava release is Doton and Katon combined, and Ice release is Fuuton and Suiton. However, only the combined form counts as a primary release.
How do you put Clan Kekkeigenkai Releases in character sheets?
Simple, your Primary release MUST be the K.K.G release of said clan. Then, in your SECONDARY release list, put the release(s) that make up the special Chakra Release. So, it should look something like this:
Primary Release: Hyoton(Ice)
Secondary Release(s): Suiton, Fuuton
*NOTE: you only get the discount for your KEKKEIGENKAI RELEASE ELEMENT, and NOT for both secondaries!*
Can I have combined element release jutsu if I'm not part of a clan?
Yes and no. Yes in the sense that you can combine or create your own dual-element jutsu when you register your stuff, but you cannot have a clan-specific release. So, for example, I can have both Suiton and Raiton releases and have a collaboration jutsu with them, but I CANNOT have the Storm Release Element.
What is relative Chakra Release?
Relative Chakra Release are the relative releases for villages, and what they generally have because of their location or heritage. This is not mandatory for every ninja of every village, but consider these when making a character:
Although I am not forcing anyone to be that element, I don't want to see things like Katon users in Kirigakure and Fuuton users in Iwagakure, etc.
How many element Releases can I learn?
You are allowed to learn a total of FOUR element releases. If you have a Kekkeigenkai release, such as Ice, that release DOES COUNT as one of those four. So, as a regular non-clan ninja, I can learn Fuuton, Suiton, Katon, and have a birth element of Raiton, and that's my limit. If I have a KKG-Release, lets say lava, then I have Lava, Doton, Katon, and I can learn ONE more release. This ensures that everyone always has a weakness.
How do I get a second, third, or fourth element?
EVERY ELEMENT RELEASE YOU WISH TO OBTAIN COSTS 800 EXP POINTS AND THAT IS NOT CHANGING. As well, BEFORE you buy it, you must have a Staff-approved training thread for the learning of said element.
~STAFF approval rules~
What is STAFF approval?
STAFF approval is when the STAFF of the site allows you to do something, or accepts something your trying to get accepted. This could be a Jutsu training thread, an update request, or just a question.(But it is also a lot more than just those!)
How does something I want to have accepted get STAFF approval?
You can only get OFFICIAL STAFF approval, starting when I post this thread, when TWO OR MORE STAFF members agree that whatever your trying to do is alright. As soon as you do you may continue on with it.
~Custom Jutsu Rules~
What is a custom Jutsu?
A custom Jutsu is a Jutsu you are trying to get STAFF approval for in the Registrations section. Jutsu include SUMMONS, SEALS, GENJUTSU, NINJUTSU, and TAIJUTSU.
How do I obtain custom jutsu?
If you have made your own jutsu then, starting when I post this thread, you CANNOT start with it instantly in your arsenal of jutsu. It must be bought AND STAFF-approved training thread(s) must be made BEFORE you buy it, and remember: you may only buy up to two jutsu a week.
Can I use another person's custom Jutsu?
Yes, but there are only two ways this can happen:
1. The creator has agreed to allow it to be public and it has been placed in the CORRECT ELEMENT-ORIENTED thread with name recognition. For example, Tsuna has an open custom Raiton technique. It is in the Raiton thread with his name, because he has allowed other people to freely learn it.
2. The creator has kept it private, but is agreeing to teach you the Jutsu, or allowing you to sign the contract. In order for this to happen, BOTH characters need to be in the same area to have a training thread where one is taught the technique. Keep in mind that although techniques taught like this do NOT cost EXP, they DO count as your two per week limit-be careful!*NOTE: You can be taught non-custom jutsu like this as well!*
~Role Playing Rules~
What is a Word-Count?
A word count is the MINIMUM amount of words you are allowed to type when you role play here. Any posts AFTER this thread is posted that are lower, even by a single word, MUST be added onto. We advise you to not try and aim for somewhere close to the word-count and just type as much as you see fit!
What is the word count?
THIS SITE'S WORD COUNT IS A HUMBLE 200 WORDS. This really isn't that much, so I don't want to see 207 or 250 word posts, this is just the BARE MINIMUM and RPs LIKE THIS WILL NOT GET HIGH REWARDS!
~Summon Rules~
What is a Summon?
A Summon is a creature that you, well, summon to the battlefield to help you. A lot of summons can attack or defend, or even use jutsu, and most know how to speak. Although, summoning requires A LOT of Chakra, so I don't advise going around summoning willy-nilly.
How do I summon?
Each summon has a "contract", so to speak. That contract needs to be "signed" whenever you wish to summon that creature, and can be anything from biting one's thumb to a long chain of advanced hand-seals. NOTE: SUMMONS CANNOT ATTACK OR DEFEND THE SAME TURN THEY ARE SUMMONED!
When does a summon go away?
A summon goes back to it's habitat when it is low on Chakra, when YOU are low on chakra, when it gets severely injured, or when you release it. Although the Summon may be defending you, you also need to defend the summon, as if there is only one of it's kind, then if it where to die you CANNOT get it back!
~Custom Clans~
What is a Custom Clan?
A Custom Clan is a Clan that you try to get accepted in the registration section. Some clans have a Kekkeigenkai, but not all clans do and you do NOT need to have one if you don't want to!
What is a Kekkeigenkai?
A Kekkeigenkai, Bloodline Trait, is a special ability only handed down in that family line. For example, the Uchiha's Kekkeigenkai is the Sharingan Eye. They can awaken it, but ninja outside of their clan cannot.
Can I join other people's Custom Clans?
Yes, you can, but only if one of these happens:
1. There clan has "OPEN" or "PUBLIC" in the thread title, meaning that you may freely join their clan without asking them, but it is still advised that you tell them your joining at least.
2. If it has "PRIVATE" in the title, it means you MUST get their PERMISSION to join that clan. Whether it be in the Chat-box, through P.M-It doesn't matter.
What are Closed Clans?
Closed Clans, or Clans with "CLOSED" in the title, are custom clans that ARE NOT ALLOWING OTHER PEOPLE TO JOIN. This means that you are NOT allowed to ask permission to join, or to make a character from that clan.
