Oh! Why, hello there! I have some interesting scrolls here that are said to tell the story of the past, let me tell you:
It has been centuries since the reign of the five legendary Kage and the Akatsuki threat, their battles, wars, and triumphs have not just been forgotten, but they seem to be completely non-existent. It has now been five centuries since the legend of Naruto Uzumaki was spread through the land, five centuries since Madara Uchiha planned an assault against the entire world, and five centuries since the Jinchuriki where harvested for power. Over fifty Kage have controlled each of the five great ninja villages, and the land became anew. Each century brought a large change to the ninja world and made it what it was now, whether those changes are for the best or not is for you to answer. Come, experience the wondrous world of Naruto: United Bonds!
~The First Century, Daiichi Hyakunen~
Ah, the story begins:
A hundred years after Madara's suicidal plot to strike back against the villages, the ninja world was in shambles. It was quite a tragic time, expenses where made that jeopardized each and every village. The death-toll was in the millions, and villages seemed much emptier than they used to have been. Clans that where once thriving, such as the Hyuuga, where now diminished greatly. On top of such loss was the Ryo cost of the war. Supplying all of the ninja with the proper tools overworked the villages factories, and they needed to call upon help for their debts from the lesser villages, such as Kusagakure and Amegakure. This was a grievance to the world, and not many missions where available to the ninja, those that where had low-paying rewards. Shops closed. The academies where teaching poor education, where Genin lead the classes on the absolute basics and skipped over techniques such as rope-untying and advanced chakra control. The once-prominent villages where now ghosts of what they used to be, and the scent of blood seemed to constantly be in the air.
During this time, many artifacts where lost. Kirigakure no Sato wanted their Seven Mist Swords back, which where scattered about, where as the Kumogakure was on it's own quest to retain the five artifacts of the Sage of Six Paths. However, the artifacts became noticed by the other villages, and although both Kumogakure and Kirigakure both obtained three of their prized possessions, not all of them where recovered. The Kirigakure's Shibuki was in the hands of Sunagakure along with the Nuibari, Kurikiribocho was in the hands of Iwagakure, and Kiba was currently under Konohagakure's possession. Kumogakure's valuables where lost for the time being, besides the Banana Palm Fan that was discovered on the outskirts of Kirigakure. Although most villages handed over the artifacts without fail, Sunagakure held onto the swords with great resolve. This sparked civil controversy between the two nations for many a decade, until finally, one of the sparks lit.
~The Second Century, Itsusu Shinobi Ikusa~
Sounds like some interesting conflict. I wonder what happened?
It started on a February evening. The five ninja that temporarily made up what was left of the Seven Mist Swordsmen attacked Sunagakure, in an attempted terrorist attack that ended with tragic results. The ninja village whom was still recovering could not fight against five Bijuu-like Shinobi in a sneak-attack, and Shibuki was returned to Kirigakure, as well as the lives of hundreds of civilians and ninja alike. Sunagakure's population was reduced to the hundreds in a night, which was a severe blow to the entire land of wind. And whats more, another planned attack was leaked out-this plan was to not only take the final sword, but also to flood the village and make it a new lake, as an extension from Kirigakure. This information reached Konohagakure, that quickly leaped into battle and defended the dying village. As planned, Kirigakure attacked...but with the help of Kumogakure. If the Land of Wind no longer existed, Kumogakure could extend its boundaries to at least double it's original size, so it brought itself in. The battle that ensued lasted for sixteen years, continuously, and over time Sunagakure repaired itself and jumped back into the fray, making the battle even tenser than it already was.
At the end of the fighting, all four armies where heavily damaged. Kirigakure got its final prize, but did not get Sunagakure, although they did end up destroying most of it. Instead, the land of water entangled what was once known as the Land of Rain, assimilated it, and turned it's Ninja village, Amegakure, into what is now known as "Chibikirigakure", or "Dwarf Village hidden in the Mist". Soon following this example, The land of Fire assimilated most of the land around itself, absorbing both Kusagakure and Takigakure into the Land of Fire, from where-ever the two had come from. While the four nations where busy quarreling, Iwagakure was going on the fast-track to success. A large new mine was found on the outskirts of the village, and jewels where carried out in barrels. Through this, Iwagakure quickly paid off it's debt and once again took it's place as the wealthiest of the five great ninja villages, sitting in the background and selling supplies to both sides of the war, getting no more involved. This battle was to be considered as the Fifth Great Shinobi war.
~Third Century, Hitomi no Arashi~
Well, this sounds nice!
This is the only time during the five centuries that had no significant conflict. Everyone was still shaken by the past war, and they where just waiting for someone to make another move, albeit cautiously. This is the time that most Kekkeigenkai sprouted up again that where believed to be long-since extinct in their clans, as well as the time when Kumogakure retrieved two more artifacts, leaving one left. Not much else happened during this part of the history, so lets move on.
~Fourth Century, ?~?~
Oh, that's funny-this scroll is burned up! I can't read a thing! I wonder what happened during this time...it seemed important, or at least I thought it did...
~Fifth Century, Heiwateki Saiken~
The once hateful villages teamed up to seal away Kuro Seigyoku, all of the Kage's gave their all in the long, staggering battle. But it seemed like this man would never go down, he just kept getting back up from everything they tried! He wasn't phased in the slightest by their attacks, and he cleaned the floor with them for quite some time. Then, thinking fast, the current Hokage of the time put her last breath into a sealing jutsu that locked the evil Shinobi away at the cost of her life. The scroll, larger and covered in chains, is still stored away in Konohagakure, as it always will be. The Kage retreated to their villages under the United Bonds pact, and vowed to never turn on one-another again. As part of their new treaty, each one would help the other in combat, to keep their bond going strong. They agreed to never let something trivial come between them and peace, and lived on, following that story-book ending.
Well, this was all very interesting! I wonder who that Seigyoku guy is? And the United Bonds pact? Well, I guess we will juts have to find out!
