These rules pertain to EXP and Ryo, as well as how to get them:
What is Ryo?
Ryo is the currency used on this site. Ryo is used for all sorts of things, it can be given to other people, given away in events and missions, as well as be used to by items that may aid you in combat. The regular amount of Ryo one would have to pay for an item or something along the same lines would be 50-800, and does not dip into the 1000's. Your current Ryo is kept in your character sheet, sort of like a bank.
What is EXP?
EXP, or Experience(also called "Experience Points"), are awarded through the completion of missions or through character progression. Experience is built up over time through training and effort, and is used to buy techniques. EXP is awarded through Role Playing itself, and I advise staff to use this chart when deciding what to award players when it comes to EXP:
Should be tested for being mentally handicapped Role Plays ~~ 0
Horrible Role Play ~~ 2 or less EXP
Very Bad Role Play ~~ 5 or less EXP
Bad Role Play ~~ 10 or less EXP
"Meh" Role Play ~~ 20 or less EXP
Average Role Play ~~ 35 or less EXP
O.K. Role Play ~~ 50 or less EXP
Good Role Play ~~ 65 or less EXP
Very Good Role Play ~~ 75 or less EXP
Amazing Role Play ~~ 90 or less EXP
Mind-Blowing ~~ 100 or less EXP
~Note to all staff~ NO ONE SHOULD BE AWARDED ANY MORE THAN 100 EXP AT A TIME!
How do I obtain Ryo?
You get Ryo by completing missions or taking bounties. They should always have a set amount of Ryo, and although Missing-Nin cannot take Missions, they can still take bounties. Although, Missions are not always life-endangering, but Bounties are.
How do I obtain EXP?
You NEVER Get EXP from missions, possibly Bounties, but never missions. Why? Because Missions already have a set reward and you are taking that reward when you complete it, and are accepting nothing else. But a Bounty has a POSSIBLE reward and a certain battle against another character, always leading towards an EXP gain. The other way to get EXP, and the most common form, is by doing training threads, Private RPs, and battles.
The chart above shows the rewards of EXP depending on your performance during the RP. This is not JUST your writing skills though, it's also your over-all content. Do a cool combination with two Jutsu? A really cool Taijutsu attack? Create an intricate way to train? Well, then you get more EXP, of course!
How do I obtain Items?
Very simple-you go to the update section(remember you can only update once a week!) and in your update you list what your buying, for what price, and how much Ryo you have left. Once your finished, a staff member will look over it and when they accept it, your free to use whatever you bought.
How do I obtain Jutsu?
Like Items, you include them in your updates, they just cost EXP instead of Ryo. However, in SOME cases, they require training threads to be made that need staff approval. In that case, you do your training thread FIRST, get it approved, then add it onto your update with the thread link.(Note: You do NOT get EXP from training threads that are required for Jutsu!)
What is a Training Thread?
A training thread is a thread in which you start for the purpose of getting your character stronger In Character. Although they are required for some Jutsu, they are NOT mandatory for the rest. When you do train, which is recommended at once a week if possible, you are rewarded with EXP depending on content.(Refer to the chart above for EXP rewards) Training can be done solo, but it can also be done in groups, which builds friendships and enhances member activity!
NOTE: EVEN IF YOU TRAIN FOR A JUTSU YOU CANNOT USE IT UNTIL IT HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY ADDED TO YOUR CHARACTER!
