1. Double posting is FORBIDDEN -- Unless it's a PERSONAL RP, double posting is not allowed. No matter how long your companion is gone, EVERYONE ELSE IN THE THREAD must have posted before you can! Offenders get a warning, and repeaters get a short ban!!
2. God-Modding is FORBIDDEN -- No one can dodge a sword slash out of the blue, deflect fire balls with their thumb, or be unmoved by a masterful Taijutsu. Damage is just a factor in RPing and your character IS going to get hurt sometime during this RP. That being said, no attack EVER MADE is a SURE HIT. Even if your a Jonin against an academy student, they could STILL dodge, block, or deflect your attack. Also, no attack is an instant-kill, so while stabbing someone in the head is a good way to take them out, remember we're here to play this out to the fullest! Rule-breakers are banned on the spot for a determined-at-that-time date. All conflicts on the matter got to GLOBAL MODERATORS, MYSELF, or BATTLE MODS, where your fate is truly decided.
3. Metagaming is FORBIDDEN -- When your locked in the heat of combat and your opponent is thinking out his master-strategy, your character has no idea what he's going to do, where/when he's going to do it, or how he is going to do it. If a plot event calls for a powerful ninja, then your character can't address him as "You must be that powerful ninja I heard so much about..." when no character in the game is given the info. If this was confusing, picture this: I'm talking to YOU in the chatbox or N:U.B. chat section about our battle. I warn you about a deadly Genjutsu I'm going to use that can only be broken with a special handseal. Now, in character, Your character has NO IDEA about that conversation thus cannot know anything about the Genjutsu. Offenders get a warning, repeating = ban.
4. "Rush Battling" is LOOKED DOWN UPON -- What is that term, "rush battling"? I've never seen it before...well, this is a new term I have made. Rush Battling is used when a really intense scene is made. Like, beyond intense. Example of a rush battle post: Shinobi 1 leaped at Shinobi 2 and punched him five times in the back, three times in the face, and kicked him seven times in the chest. Not only does this fall under God-Modding, it's just out-of-whack. And yes, people DO do this, and it's sad. Offenders get a warning, repeaters could quite possibly receive and I.P. block, as these posts really do throw off a battle and ruin everyone in it's day.
5. Character Deaths -- These are also inevitable. Not everyone can walk away from every battle with barely a scratch on them, and half of the time, the enemy is TRYING to kill you, and you should be trying to kill them as well. Once your character dies, that's it. Not re-animation jutsu, no special ninjutsu that makes an invincible clone, etc. They're just dead. At that time, feel free to make a new one, but from personal experience I know it is not always easy to fill the gap of a good character...
6. IMAGES are NOT ALLOWED -- Awkward, right? Well, everyone has seen the kind of RPer I'm talking about. That one pretentious ass with the pretty pictures and song lyrics in their post that really don't need to be there, and I'm not allowing that. Why? Because it makes other members feel feeble, as if you where wearing a pin that says: "Look at me, I'm SO much better than you that I can photoshop my own visuals to aid me in combat!" No, not allowed. Verbal warnings will be given, but repeaters will be warned. No bans will be instantly handed out for this.
7. Chakra -- There is no set amount of chakra for techniques, or how much your character has in general. But this does not mean he/she can upchuck fireballs all the live-long day. Be reasonable with your jutsu and just in general actions-even the most trained, highly-skilled ninja get TIRED. Offenders get verbal warning, then warning, then ban, etc.
8. COMMON SENSE -- A little kid can't hold a big-ass buster sword. That being said, grown, muscular Ninja should not be used chop-stick katanas. A Suiton-element master would not use Katon techniques. You get the point. No ban will be given, but a verbal warning and a change demand will be made.
9. NO SEXUAL RPS -- been said in the general rules, but cannot be stressed enough. Absolutely no characters can engage in sexual intercourse over the course of the RP(Pun completely and utterly intended and thought-out.) Bans will be administered accordingly to offenders, and your posts will be...how you say..."censored"(Basically, humiliated for all the community to see)
10. NO MULTITHREADING. Never saw or heard that word before, huh? Well, to put it in a simple way, multithreading is when your character is in two places at a time, but in different locations. That also won't be allowed because let's say it like this:
You're doing two battles at the same time, but at different locations.
And if you one the first battle at the first location, but you've died at the second location, it would be hard to tell if you actually DIED or not. So, that won't be tolerated. If it's seen, you will get a warning. But however, if it is continued to be seen, then so will the warnings, and if you just can't stop, there's a chance you'll be leaded to a ban.
11. Word Count Limit -- On this site, no matter what the role play is, it needs to have at least 200 words! This ensures that you at least TRY to write something good, and removes one-liner RPers. Offenders are scolded and forced to write more, repeaters get a warning, ban, etc., etc.
12. Kawarimi Limit -- Shinshun has it's own rules detailed in it's own description, but Kawarimi has different rules. In actuality, as long as you have something to swap with, you cannot be limited in uses of this technique. BUT, it cannot be used twice in a row, and cannot be used the same turn you use a technique. Violators get a warning, then ban.
13. Genjutsu Release -- Although MOST Genjutsu can be simply released, not all can or will. First your character HAS TO REALIZE that a Genjutsu is in place, and then they can release it. Actual releasing rules are JUST LIKE KAWARIMI!(no techniques the same turn, no twice-in-a-row releases)
